Justin’s last three pitches thrown today (for a total of 123) were all strikes, and they were all at 98mph or above.
I really hope baseball fans appreciate how important and amazing this guy is. Words cannot describe how in awe of him I am. It’s just a great feeling to sit back and watch him cruise through a game. The one chance I got to see him pitch a couple months ago was considered an “off night” for him - 5.1 IP, 7 hits, 3 earned runs, 6 K’s, 4 BB, 118 pitches. I still couldn’t take my eyes off him, I was still thrilled to even be able to watch in person. I hope he’s around for a long time.
What can I say about this guy that hasn’t been said? He’s a badass. Skip came out in the 8th inning and we thought he was bringing the hook with him - nah, just to remind JV this is his game, to get ‘em.
When asked after the game how he feels being put out there to dominate and get us a win when we need it, his response: “I love it. That’s all I got. I love it.”
And we love you, Justin. A lot.
